Monetary Donations

Your donation goes directly to supporting the collection at the Nathan Lester House and the archive at the Janice W. Bell Historical Research Room, along with our community events. Volunteer

Becoming active with the Ledyard Historical Society is a rewarding way to learn about the local community and meet new people. Any help, large or small, is welcome with our community events. We love helpers! Families are welcome. You can also put your talents to work and learn new skills assisting with the collections at the Bell Room or Nathan Lester House.

Material Donations

You can also donate items or loan them for digitization. If you have local historical items, textiles, tools, documents, photos, maps, diaries, etc., that you would like to donate to the Society or share with us for digitization and then have returned to you (Catch and Release) please email us at [email protected] with a description of the item(s). We will set up an appointment to review the item(s) with you.

Participate

You can support the Ledyard Historical Society by attending meetings, lectures, presentations, and other activities. At our Annual Meeting, we enjoy each other’s company with a potluck dinner and an educational program that the public is invited to attend. We also host special events periodically throughout the year, including the Independence Day Celebration and the Yuletide Celebration at the Nathan Lester House.
